Way to go.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is blessed with a variety of some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscape in the UK.

From rolling hills to luscious valleys, the cycle routes in Grassington & the Yorkshire Dale are dotted with pretty villages and colourful meadows, heaving with wildlife. Our eBikes will take the strain, but you will still have earned your pit stop to admire the view. Perhaps you will pause to sample a pint of one of our famous local ales in one of the many pubs along the way.

Below are some example routes by courtesy of our friends at Cycle the Dales, where you will find dozens of cycle routes in our area.

Route 1.

This is a lovely route exploring Upper Wharfedale and Littondale and has no big climbs on it. You can do shorter variations such as a return trip to Kilnsey (6.5 miles, 11km), or to Kettlewell (12 miles, 20km).

The upper Wharfedale valley provides great limestone scenery and lovely stone built villages with plenty of opportunities for a break. There are lots of options on this route to make it as long and short as you like. There are no big climbs on the route although plenty of short ones. The roads are a delight with great views throughout. Café stops abound with chances to stop in Kilnsey, Kettlewell and Buckden, as well as the pubs in Arncliffe and Litton.

Wharfedale is a popular valley at the southern end of the National Park. This route follows the valley between Grassington and Bolton Abbey using the roads on either side of the valley. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshment on the route and stunning views throughout.
